Our way of doing things
We've come a long way since we first started out making cheese on our farmhouse kitchen table, but some things will never change and that's the care and attention that goes into every single cheese we produce.
Today we have a purpose built creamery and a team of people who work with us to make fourteen different varieties of cheese the time-honoured way, by hand.
By consistently innovating and producing the highest quality cheese we have won numerous awards, and it is so nice to have our work recognized from within the industry.
But, more importantly, it’s our customers we have to thank for our success. Today our cheese can be found all over the country, from small delis to the big supermarket chains, and we're even flying the flag for Yorkshire on British Airways.
Judy's passion for cheese has definitely been handed down to her children, who all work here on the farm making sure everything is running like clockwork and rolling up their sleeves to make cheese when things get busy.
Besides making cheese, Judy Bell also finds time to spread the word, giving talks and presentations, training deli staff, and promoting the food industry in Yorkshire and Humberside.
We think we are so lucky to be able to make a living doing the thing we love - this doesn't really feel like work at all.
