Our internationally award-winning Yorkshire Blue is deliciously soft and creamy and made with fresh milk from proud Yorkshire cows.

Celebrating its 30th anniversary this summer, our August Cheese of the Month is our iconic (and much loved) Yorkshire Blue.

Launched in 1995 alongside it’s ewe’s milk counterpart Mrs Bell’s Blue, Yorkshire Blue was our first blue cheese and our first cows milk cheese and has gone on to win awards almost every year since its launch.

One of our most popular amongst our handcrafted range, its launch saw a return to blue cheese making in Yorkshire for the first time in over 35 years and its mild, soft and creamy notes and delicious blue umami flavours have made it a cheeseboard staple for committed blue cheese lovers and newcomers alike.

Made from 100% Yorkshire cow’s milk, our master cheesemakers carefully handcraft it here on the farm using a traditional recipe developed from a continental style recipe.  Maturing under their watchful eyes for a minimum of eight weeks, each cheese is turned weekly by hand to ensure the lovely blue veining and smooth, creamy texture throughout.

With age, the flavour deepens and becomes more complex, without compromising the mellow creaminess and once it’s ready, each batch is carefully tasted to ensure its perfectly ripe and ready for you to enjoy.

Perfect paired with artisan crackers, fruity chutneys, fresh figs, nuts and honey, our Yorkshire Blue is also a fantastic ingredient in so many wonderful dishes and adds a deep depth of savoury flavour to pasta, pizza, salads and more.
