Summer Blues: Our New Summer Partnership with Rudding Park

We’ve teamed up with our friends over at Rudding Park in Harrogate to create some super delicious summer dishes we think you’re going to love!

As part of our Summer Blues campaign, which aims to inspire you in new and delicious ways to use our creamy and mild blue cheeses throughout the summer months, we’ve teamed up with our friends over at Rudding Park in Harrogate to create some super delicious summer dishes we think you’re going to love!

Located on the edge of Harrogate, Rudding Park share our passion for quality, provenance and delicious Yorkshire produce, and wandering around their spectacular kitchen garden, orchards and bee hives recently, was a fantastic insight into the value they place on quality, locally sourced ingredients.

And so in celebration of the relaunch of their spectacular Terrace Restaurant this summer, with its views of the gardens, relaxing atmosphere and new outdoor pizza oven kitchen, Head Chef Matthew Wilkinson has created two new very special dishes using our handcrafted cheeses, which will feature on the Terrace menu throughout the summer months including:

Signature Harrogate Blue Summer Pizza featuring our creamy, buttery Harrogate Blue on a neapolitan base with san marzano tomato, speck & Rudding Park Honey

Signature Charcuterie board with Mrs Bell’s Salad Cheese, Rudding Park Honey, focaccia, kitchen garden chutney, cold pressed rapeseed oil & balsamic.

Excitingly, both dishes include honey from Rudding Park’s own bee hives, which is only used on the hotel's menus and is not available to buy anywhere else. 

The hives are nestled close to the kitchen gardens and orchard, so the bees can enjoy a huge variety of different plants and trees which is reflected in the deliciousness of their honey. It's a real treat to have this very limited edition product, so carefully created and gathered on the estate itself, perfectly paired with our cheeses.

We headed across to Rudding earlier this month to get a sneak peek (and a first taste!) of the new dishes, expertly prepared by Chef Roberto and we're happy to report that both are absolutely delicious and perfect for alfresco dining this summer. 

Both dishes will be available on the Terrace Menu until the end of August, so if you’re planning a trip to Rudding over the next few weeks don’t forget to pop in and indulge!
