Salad of Air-Dried York Ham & Yorkshire Blue with Fresh Figs and Spiced Pear Chutney

Like a posh ploughmans, this salad makes a lovely lunch or starter, with the Yorkshire Blue pairing beautifully with the deep-flavoured York Ham, peppery Pickering watercress and fresh figs.

Salad of Air-Dried York Ham & Yorkshire Blue with Fresh Figs and Spiced Pear Chutney Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 slices of York Ham (or similar cured)
  • 2 fresh figs (cut into thirds)
  • 3 wedges of Yorkshire Blue
  • 3 tsp of quality Spiced Pear Chutney
  • 1 teaspoon vinaigrette

Instructions

  • Arrange three slices of air-dried ham at triangular interludes on the plate.
  • Nestle the Yorkshire Blue wedges in between, along with the sliced figs, and spoon on a little chutney.
  • Dress the watercress and season to taste. Add the croûtons and mix gently
  • Place into the centre of the ham and cheese, garnish with the herbs and serve immediately.
