  • Buffalo Blue delivers a well-balanced blue flavour, which is complimented with a creamy yet light, nearing cleansing, effect on the palate.

    It's an extremely special cheese and best tasted yourself to understand it's finest qualities.  We are so glad to have this one back in the fold and sure you'll love it as much as we do. 

    Buffalo Blue is a smooth and creamy blue cheese made from the highest quality milk from a British, single herd of Italian water buffalo. We receive the milk every two weeks and make in small batches by hand on the family farm in Yorkshire.  

    Allergen Information:

    Made from BUFFALO MILK (pasteurised).

    Suitable for vegetarians.

  • Buffalo Blue is creamy and well-balanced, delivering meaty umami flavours with a clean finish on the palate.

I discovered this cheese after tasting it in a local fine dining restaurant in Norfolk. Beautiful when used in a high class dish or on its own with some warm sourdough!

So Tasty Cheese

We met the Shepherds Purse team at the Great Yorkshire Show. We had had the cheese before and enjoyed the chat. Late summer, we were visiting my sister in Hampshire and decided to have Yorkshire Blue and Harrogate Blue delivered. Neither of them disappointed. We had a lovely tasting session and I can’t wait to place my next order. Fabulous, lovingly made cheese.
