Lottie Shaw's Traditional Christmas Fruit Cake

Fruity, rich and sweet. This small batch fruit cake is the perfect accompaniment for both our Mrs Bell's Salad Cheese and our Creamy Blue Cheeses.

When we asked Lottie if she could create a nut-free fruit cake for us, her response was, "Absolutely! Let me think carefully about how to make the very best nut-free fruit cake, and I'll get back to you." And triumphant she was! The samples arrived, and they didn’t last long – moist, rich, and indulgent, just as a truly exceptional fruit cake should be. It even passed our “Dad test” – our dad is the pickiest connoisseur of fruit cakes and mince pies, and this cake earned his full seal of approval!
